Picture shows new swimming baths now under construction at Intermediate School. Diving pool at deep end will be 11ft deep. Filtration unit will pump water up through channel in centre of picture. Unit will keep the baths fresh almost indefinitely.

Eighty–seven years in Gisborne is the proud record of Mr W. Stuckey, a foundation member of the Poverty Bay Bowling Club. Mr and Mrs Stuckey are seen at a complimentary gathering of bowlers held this month in honour of his 90th birthday. Bottom picture shows group at afternoon tea.
