Gisborne Link With Antarctica

Apart from its efforts to raise money for the Ross Sea Appeal, Gisborne has a strong interest in the Antarctic expedition in the part played by Brian Nolan, of Patutahi. Brian was a member of the crew of the HMNZS Endeavour on its recent voyage to the southern continent, and may go back again, next summer if the trip does not interfere too much with his training as a diver.
