Remembering a picture they had taken when they were young, John Ryan (Standing), of 239 Ormond Road, and his brother, Jim Ryan, of Dannevirke, struck a similar pose for the K.K.K. camera at the South African Veterans' Reunion in Gisborne recently. Here are the two pictures. In the first they are aged 16 and 18 years respectively.

After a lifetime of residence in the Waerenga-a-hika district, Mr and Mrs A. Barrow left last month to live in Mangapapa. In this picture by Mr L. Williams, they are seen at a farewell gathering with Mr S. Davies, who made them a presentation on behalf of the residents.
