School Jubilee At Te Karaka

More than 400 old pupils of the Te Karaka School attended the seventieth anniversary celebrations of the school held in Te Karaka last month.

They came from as far away as Timaru in the south and Dargaville in the north.

Principal speaker was Mr R. G. Lockhart, now an inspector for the H.B. Education Board, who was first teacher in charge of the school's secondary department when it was formed in 1923.
