High School Athletics

At least five records were broken when the Gisborne Boys' High School held its annual athletic sports last month.

New records were: L. Williams shot put, by 2ft 11in. B. Murton, senior javelin throw, 147ft (27ft 7in farther than the old record). J. Williams, 220yd intermediate championship, by .4sec R. Crawshaw, senior 220 by .6sec. D. Beuth, cricket-ball throw, by 16ft 4in.
