Church Moves To New Site

For years St. Paul's Anglican Church at Kaiti has been hidden away in Oman Street, off Beach Road, so that many people did not even know of its existence. But now St. Paul's will be well in the public eye on its new site in Wainui Road near the De Lautour Road intersection.

On a recent Sunday (chosen not to suit the nature of the job but because power had to be cut off before the move could be made), Monk Bros. towed the big building down Oman St. and across country to its new site. Not even a plane of glass was broken in the shift.
