Scouts Get A Motor Launch
The Takitimu Sea Scout group now has its own motor launch, shown above immediately after it was launched recently by the district commissioner, Mr A. Blackburn. It trill serve to widen the activities of the troop, and will be especially useful as a patrol boat when scouts are yachting in the bay.
The launch was purchased last Easter in Wairoa, where it had lain for some years in the river. It was brought out, transported overland to Gisborne, and then the scouts set to work on it. The result, now named the Ventura, is something of which they can feel very proud.
