Speed On Wheels

Eric Williams, former English speedway star, added to his successes at the two day motorcycle race meeting held at the showgrounds on January 1 and 2. He won all the N.Z., North Island, East Coast, and P.B. championships for dirt track machines contested at the meeting.

Len Jelaca (Auckland), Peter Faulkner (Gisborne), M. Connolly (Hamilton), and Brian Scobie (Opotiki). Scobie won N.I. and N.Z. stock machine championships.
