Lamb With "Wings"

Mr Dick Ellmers, Darwin Road, thought his eyes were deceiving him when he saw one of his lambs with "wings" apparently sprouting from its ribs. Closer investigation (which involved a tiring chase up a hill) revealed that the "wings" were actually a cattle bone that fitted neatly round the lamb's waist. The fit was so tight, indeed, that Mr Ellmers is puzzled as to how the lamb got caught in it in the first place.
