Memories of early days in Gisborne will come flooding back to hundreds of ex-pupils of Kaiti School when they gather here in January to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its opening.
Picture (right) of school was taken many years ago.

The late W. N. Carson, an ex-pupil of the school, toured England as N.Z. cricketer in 1937, visited Australia the following year as an All Black. He died of wounds while serving overseas in World War II.
