It Was The Uniform What Done It
After drafting the pattern and making their smart new skirts out of their old uniforms themselves the Poverty Bay A Reserve Netball team is convinced this was responsible for their considerable success in the 1975 season. The team had 12 wins, 4 losses and 1 draw from 17 matches.
Showing off one of the old uniforms is Raewyn Rylott.
The A Reserve team with its top trophy, the Longley Rose Bowl (won by defeating East Coast), is, from left, in front, Helen Papuni, Gail Campbell (vice captain), Maureen Ashton (coach/ selector), Tangiwai Pardoe (captain), and Ira Pardoe. At back, Raima Petersen, Theresa Snowdon, Raewyn Rylott, Sandra Preston and Wendy Mackevics
