Success For Brothers

Messrs Geoffrey and Peter Parsonage, the sons of Mrs Kath Parsonage, 447 Palmerston Road, have met with considerable success through their own endeavours. Peter, who is now based in London, returned to Gisborne recently during the course of a marketing trip through South America, Australia and New Zealand. He is technical marketing manager for Lucas Overseas Ltd and is involved in the manufacture, and selling, of solar energy systems throughout the world. Peter is a former pupil of Gisborne Boys High School and completed his apprenticeship as an auto-electrician in this city before joining Lucas. Geoffrey Parsonage, also a former Boys High student, has graduated Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) with honours from Auckland University. His studies were interrupted following an accident which resulted in the loss of an eye. Now married with two children he is employed as an assistant engineer with the N.Z.E.D. in Hamilton. The boys' father, the late H.H.B. Parsonage, was headmaster of the Ormond School at the time of his death in 1959.
