Smiling Lady Luck

Lady Luck has been smiling on some of our residents recently with some very nice prizes coming the way of the recipients.

For the second year in succession a big Four Square Lucky Bingo prize has been won by a customer of Eddie Evans' Aberdeen Dairy.

Mrs Tui Hansen is the first lady golfer in the district to receive a Booth's Gin medal for a hole-in-one. For men there is already a Booth's tie award. The company decided to manufacture a medal for ladies however, and this is available to any holer-in-one sponsored by any club — in retrospect too! Mrs Hansen, who is a member of the Poverty Bay Club and got her hole-in-one at Tolaga Bay some time back, receives her medal, and a bottle of the company's product, at D. J. Barry's Ltd from Booth's South Pacific marketing manager Peter Davidson of Wellington.
