Gisborne District Discourse

The first regional conference of the East Coast Districts' Young Farmers' Clubs to be held in Gisborne was staged here over the three-day Anzae weekend. The conference business (with general meeting and remits) was followed by stock judging competitions, a make and model parade by female members (and three ring-ins), and a cabaret, which were all part of the busy weekend scene.

A hilarious touch was provided by, from left, Trevor Boyd, David Hurley and Graham Peach, who proved that the highest fashion garments can. come from the lowliest materials, like manure bags when you've finished with them, and that!
