One of the most unusual pictures to appear in "Photo News is this photograph(LEFT) of a (Maori gentleman in full Highland dress. The picture itself is quite old and comes from the Rukupou Meeting-house at Manutuke which is in the process of being refurbished. The picture is being cleaned and reframed by Mrs Jane Waihi, who would be very pleased to hear from anyone who could come to light withany information about the photograph along with the one on the RIGHT. Mrs Waihi is going to rehang the photographs in the meeting-house so if you have any details she can be contacted at phone 28-796.

May be we will have to revert to the original horsepower if fuel becomes very much harder to get. In the meantime ponder on this pic sent in by Mrs Mossman snr, of Patutahi, who photographed the scene as Mr Lawrence, aided by some young helpers, cuts the grass in the Patutahi Domain with an early model, horse-drawn gang mower.
