R.S.A. Team Tops

Shooters from the R.S.A. Club were successful in taking the Percy Jones Cup for rifle shooting competition between chartered clubs. The trap shoot, held at the Gun Club's range at The Willows, was won by the R.S.A. for the third year in succession.

Bar Admission

Peter Boshier, son of Mr and Mrs Alan Boshier, formerly of Gisborne and now of Wellington, was admitted to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in the Wellington Supreme Court recently.A former prefect at the Gisborne Boys High School, Peter gained LLB (Hons) at Victoria University and is now with a Wellington law partnership. He is furthering his studies for an LLM degree.

The trophy, being presented by the late Mr Carmichael's daughter, Mrs Eve Ellmers, is awarded annually to the member of the Gisborne Amateur Athletic and Harrier Club gaining the most points at the annual H.B.-P.B. championships.
