The Tamarau Country Women's Institute drama group which won both the Otoko Trophy for the best play and the Herald Cup for the best play by a C.W.I. group in the recent open drama festival at the Opera House.

A study in expressions might well be the title of this picture taken by a Kandid Kamera Kraft photographer who was attending the recent dog trial at Ngatapa. Little Rona Fahy doesn't look too happy about having to wait for Tess's family to drink their fill, but Tess isn't concerned at all. She'll pose any time, any way.

Bidding was Keen at a sale or antiques held at Barwick's Auction Mart this month, and some high prices were paid. Top price was £100 for a three piece Georgian tea set. Picture shows Mr Brian Sherriff auctioning a silver cake dish, with Mr Barwick at left. On five occasions bidders paid more than £50 for articles.
