The manager of the Gisborne branch of Hallensteins Ltd for the past eight years, Mr Graeme Day, has transferred on promotion to the Palmeston North branch. While living in Gisborne Mr Day was involved quite considerably in community work, as well as being a member of Jaycee and the Power Boat Club. Graeme Day is pictured with his wife Barbara and daughters Cara and Sandra (right).

Transferring from Gore to Gisborne as branch manager of Hallensteins is Mr Ken MacDougall. He replaces Mr Graeme Day in the position. Mr MacDougall, who is shown with his wife Eleanor and sons Grant (left) and Gareth, is a member of Rotary, and plays golf in his spare time.

John Hughes, son of Mr and Mrs Dudley Hughes, Opotiki, and formerly of Nuhaka, was among those admitted to the bar in a ceremony in the Wellington Supreme Court on February 21. John, a former pupil of Gisborne Boys High School, graduated Bachelor of Law in 1973 and intends completing his Master of Law degree this year. He is now employed in a Government Department in Wellington.
