Technique And Expression

The return to Gisborne by David James to give a pianoforte recital under the auspices of the Gisborne Music Society was indeed a great event for those who filled the Girls High School Assembly Hall for the occasion. Since embarking on his career David James has improved immeasurably in technique, expression and interpretation. His programme included works by Debussy, Chopin, Granados and Beethoven. David, who is the son of Mrs Olive James, Whitaker Street, is pictured at practice the day before his recital.
