Continuing Success

The Waikanae senior canoe crew now looks an outstanding hope for national honours this season after competing in the recent Hawke's Bay Surf Life-Saving Championships early this month. In the J. Wattie 2 they defeated last year's national silver medallists, Kiwi. Prior to this they had recently downed the national title holders, Whakatane, to take the Northern Regional title. The very fit and successful crew, with the J. Wattie 2, is from left, Joe Green, Phillip Duncan, Gary Croskery and Michael Clark.
