National R.S.A. Golf
A capacity field took part in the national R.S.A. golf tournament held in Gisborne just before Christmas. Both city courses were in perfect order for the tournament which was played under ideal conditions.
Mr W. Weir of Northern Wairoa was the top net winner and he (right) receives the New Zealand R.S.A. Cup, the Lamont Award and the Leopard Breweries' Trophy from Mr Paul Sceats and Mrs R. Morley.
Teeing off during the tournament is Mick Dobbie.
The success of the tournament was due in no small measure to, from left, Messrs Jack Hunter, Paul Sceats, Jack Flowerday and Reid Morley.
Bob and Violet Thompson were the lucky winners of the set of gold clubs and they (left) are being presented with the clubs by Mrs Lydia Bell and Mr Reid Morley.
