Glamour At The Park

Glamour came to Rugby Park this year when the Radio Gisborne 2ZG Beach Girl competition was held there. People packed the grandstand, and down front, to see 15 entrants parade for the title of Miss Gisborne.

The winner was Sherie Bothamley who won a Gemini motorcycle as first prize. She is pictured with, from left, Ngaire Matete (Miss Midway), who gained third place, and Sharon Newcomb (Miss Tom Thumb), who was second in the contest.

Sherie Bothamley was sponsored by Max Factor.

Some pretty good entertainment was provided by television's Popco and Sing artists to round out a good evening's entertainment.
