At the show Messrs William Crooks and Robert Berry, who have been made Fellows of the Royal New Zealand Institute of Horticulture, were presented with their certificates. Both men have done outstanding work at Eastwoodhill over the years. Also at the show Certificates of Merit were presented to Mr Tom Grimson and Mrs Patricia Buchan. Mr Grimson received his certificate for his magnificent display of orchids at the society's daffodil show while Mrs Buchan received hers for arranging the beautiful stage display of roses at the rose show.
