The Sun Did Come Out...
Really heavy rain looked like upsetting the A. & P. Show this year. On the first day the rain just pelted down but the weather did fine up for "People's Day." However, the mud underfoot was not funny and many careful steps were taken by patrons to ensure they did not end up on the ground.

Leading the parade is Mr Wallace Johnstone with Puketutu Baker 192, a four-year-old Angus bull, which took the supreme grand champion award.
The champion Romney ram was entered by K. Greaves.
The champion Perendale ram was shown by Coventry Station.
