Vibrant Exhibition

Alive and vibrant would be the two words to describe the recent exhibition of school art work staged in the Art Gallery. Paintings, carvings, pottery, ceramics and murals were all part of the top class work exhibited by representatives of the different schools.

From Patutahi, with a selection of their superb Maori carvings came, from left, Guy Tomlinson, Ross Brown, Paul Kaa, Fred Mulligan, Peter Tupara, Greg Barclay, Richard Rogers and Michael Ross.

Also from Patutahi came Wai Harepa, Anna Dods, Karen Rogers, Peti Ratapu, Michelle Neville and Pollyanna Hindmarsh with their tukutuku panel.

This selection of paintings and crayon work came from the Ilminster School.

This exotic West Indian mask is the work of Christina Kirkham of St Mary's School.

A variety of ceramics, pottery and string work was presented by the Gisbome Intermediate School.

This extensive decorative mural is the work of the pupils of the Waipiro Bay School.
