Bhutan Visitor

While on a fact-finding trip of New Zealand Health and Hospital Services the administrating matron of Bhutan (in North East India) also came to Gisborne. While here Dawden Pharap spoke to members of the Maori Women's Welfare League and their friends, and was afterwards entertained to morning tea at the Ngata residence in Grant Road.

Back From Honolulu

The occasion of the Honolulu holiday (page 58, last issue), was also an opportunity for members of the Thompson family (originally from Tolaga Bay and who hadn't been together for many years) to all get together again. Several members of the family joined the tour after it left Gisborne.

Fine Day For Their Opening

The Kaiti Women's Bowling Club was one of the few clubs favoured with a fine day for the 1974-1975 opening. Even then it was touch and go on remaining fine!
