Each year the Hawke's Bay Car Club's Blossom Trial attracts increasing entries and this year, from left, Peter Ball (navigator), Rod Prater (driver) and Peter Mooney (time-keeper) were tempted to try their luck. They finished in the first six but exact placings won't be known for a little while yet. They are pictured with Peter Ball's Ford MKIV Zephyr, preparatory to tackling the nine-hour limit, 300-mile trial.
