Olympic Pool Opened

The Gisborne Olympic Pool was opened by the Minister of Justice, Dr Martyn Finlay, on September 14. The $410,000 complex provides top class facilities so who is going to be the first swimmer to equal an Olympic time? Special guest at the opening was Commonwealth Games gold medallist Jaynie Parkhouse who swam two lengths to “break-in” the new pool.
