Oil Depot Opened
The Official opening of Caltex Oil Ltd's new bulk fuel oil depot at Kaiti was held on August 8. The company has been supplying the district with its products for 50 years, and was the first company to come into Gisborne with a bulk product.

Thomas Corson & Son Ltd have been the Caltex distributors for the past 40 years and, to mark the association, Caltex managing director Jack Sullivan made a presentation to the local firm. Mr Tom Corson (right) receives the gift, a handsome silver tray and jug with a set of crystal glasses.
