Senatorship for Jaycee

One of the most esteemed awards for a Jaycee was conferred on Gisborne chapter member Les McGreevy on May 28. A senatorship gives the recipient a lifetime membership of Jaycee International, and in the 30-year history of Gisborne Jaycee the award has been made only eight times. Les McGreevy has been a Jaycee for 14 years and has made a number of outstanding contributions to the movement in that time. He convened the Jaycee Queen contribution to the Olympic Pool Queen Carnival, the national final of the Atlantic Driver of the Year contest and is, at present, also convener of one of Gisborne Jaycee's most ambitious projects, the Children's Adventure Playground in Awapuni Road.

Successful Project

The Jaycee's recent "Road Toll" was very successful — to the tune of $510. This money goes to the Adventure Playground project.
