The Sepia Aces

It is not often that Gisborne is favoured with a visit from an overseas company of artists, so that the recent concerts given by Bertie "Rhythm" King's Sepia Aces, a famous London night club band, were something of an ocaasion for lovers of modern music. "Photo News" took a number of pictures of the band in action in the Army Hall, but they cannot be reproduced out of consideration for a copyright clause in the band's contract. Here, offstage and down among the delighted crowd, is one of the band's most versatile artists, Arthur Bennett, who demonstrated a fine talent for comedy.
