Ultra Preview
A preview of ultra paintings and sculptures by Douglas McCullough was held at the Art Gallery on March 25. While not of the traditional school the works drew plenty of comment and interest.

Among those present at the opening were Gallery president Doreen Costello, Mr and Mrs Maurice McIntyre, and Museum curator Elizabeth Shaw.
The winner of Adairs' "Mad March Give-Away" prize was nurse Gail Joyce. She is receiving her Royal Albert bone china tea set from Adairs' promotions manager Don Castles.
Royden Newman of Ahirau Station, Te Karaka, found this large mushroom on the property and brought it in to us for a look-see. Royden thinks it might make a good umbrella and with a diameter of 10 inches it could too, for a small boy!
