Sporting Highlights
Highlights of the Freezing Workers' Inter-Sports held in Gisborne prior to Easter were outstanding wins in the golf, pool and billiards events. A large number of meat workers enjoyed the events, with visitors coming from a wide area.
The G.R. No.2 team took the Grant Bros trophy for the best 54 hole nett. From left, Murray Fisher, Peter Hatwell, Percy Whiteley and Toto Nikora.
