New Chief Installed

The new Orphans Club chief for 1974 is Mr Bert Hicks. He was installed at the club's first meeting for this year in the Abercorn Hall. Mr Hicks takes over from last year's president, Mr Peter Wooller. A light and entertaining programme of music and sketches was put on by members for the edification of other members, themselves and their guests.

A special attraction for the evening was the Gisborne Federal Band. They played two brackets which made for very pleasant listening. Orphans Club members now have another season of music and entertainment to look forward to.
