More Records Go

More records were topped at the Gisborne Boys High School athletics on April 1. Of particular note was Tom Haapu's effort in the junior javelin. He threw it 150' 11", thus breaking the old record by an incredible 24' 6".

Taking the senior pole vault at 2.79m is Peter Scammell.

Failing by only .2 of a metre to break Ross Meban's record of 1.76m in the senior high jump is Peter Scammell, who rounded off quite a good day as he also took the senior shot putt at 11.7m.
