Seventeen Years Later

In 1957 the Gisborne Yacht Club celebrated the opening of its new clubhouse. Seventeen years later, less one month, the building was being dismantled to be rebuilt on the club's new site, a half-mile further along Kaiti Beach. This is due to harbour expansion in the area. The new building will be of one story only, however, and also right next to the club's ramp.
