A Yukky Pest

The cockroach has come in for much vilification recently due to its increased influx into the city and widespread publicity about the pest. And pest it is, along with mice, rats and flies — the type of life that gives most people the creeps. An all-out campaign to keep the cockroach under control is not going amiss. Radio Gisborne ran a contest to see who could trap the most cockroaches, and the biggest. Prizes were donated by the Walters and Kohn Pharmacy, and J. S. Allan & Son Ltd.
