Around the Speedway

Fans enjoyed good racing at each stock and production car meeting held at the Speedway at Awapuni this season. From Alan Robinson come these shots of cars and drivers who have been seen burning up the track over the past few months.

In the production arena Steve Clare and his Prefect "Little Apple" were much to the fore. Steve is a popular driver and had several wins to his credit during the season.

Dave Robertson is a senior driver at the speedway. He and his Vauxhall are a good combination

Dennis Reichenbach's Angiia "Old Crow" is a very fast car. Dennis also raced successfully on the out-of-town circuit

The "stockies" provide many of the thrills speedway patrons seek. Fast speeds are being obtained by Ron Mogford in his V8. He has competed at both Gisborne and Rotorua

Jim Page qualified for the N.Z. Champs at Rotorua, He is driving Teddy Malcolm's VW with Valiant motor
