The newly formed Gisborne Toastmistress Club provides an ideal opportunity for women to express themselves with poise. The club also gives members the opportunity to attain the confidence that public speaking brings, and to master the English language. Impromtu and formal speaking are both included in the club's programme, and the subjects, of course, are limitless. Officers of the club are elected every six months, thus allowing members to gain experience and confidence in the various offices. If lady readers would like more to talk about than the price of fish, join the club. Don't leave it too long as membership is limited. Contact secretary Gretchen Sinton, phone 85-157, or president Jane Home, phone 88-954.
