The Spirit of Christmas Past
Among the many Christmas parties held for the younger members of many organisations were these three held early in December.
Crowding around Santa, who can hardly be seen, are these children of Branch 1 of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints. They had a very enjoyable morning, playing games before opening their presents and having lunch.
A day out at the Waihirere Domain was enjoyed by the children from the Kaiti Playcentre. A swim, party lunch and a visit from Father Christmas all made the children's day most satisfying.
A large number of "Airport Children" spent a very gay time in the Youth Hall at St Mark's Church, receiving presents from Father Christmas. They also made a great job of demolishing their afternoon party tea. The children are all families of the men who are connected with the airport in any way.
