Once again retired Post Office people enjoyed each other's company, talked about the old days, and were brought up to date on new developments in the Post Office world, by present officers in the various departments, at their annual reunion. A few drinks made for convivial company before afternoon tea and the cutting of a Christmas cake at Low's Reception Rooms.

Mr Les Steel, as the oldest person present, had the honour of cutting the cake.
