More for the Games

Another $250 was raised, through sponsorships, for the Commonwealth Games' Fund Appeal by those who took part in the Wheelbarrow Derby (or race, if you please). Entrants marshalled their barrows, and strength, and raced from the Sandown Hotel down to the Albion under a blazing sun. The refreshing prizes were donated by Lion Breweries and D. J. Barry Ltd.
