Beautiful Blooms
The colour and quality of the blooms in this year's Poverty Bay Horticultural Society's Rose and Iris Show was the best seen for a long time. There were hundreds of. entries and these drew large crowds throughout the day.
Champion Bloom in the roses went to Mrs Fay Caughey with her bloom of Mt Shasta, a pure white.
Admirine Mrs V. Ashton's champion iris, "Crinkled Beauty," a beautiful bloom in a shade of soft orchid pink, are Christine Emms and Anna Samuel.
Part of the magnificent display in the Y.M.C.A. Stadium.
