Big Extension

The East Coast Farmers' fertiliser plant at Matawhero is being extended by 50%. This area will enable the plant to store a further seven to eight

thousand tons of fertiliser. The steel framing is shown being surmounted by the conveyor housing, after which it was roofed in. The solid concrete inverted Y-frames are moveable (for further extensions) but are capable of withstanding up to 1000 tons of manure on one side with nothing on the other.
