Special Speaker

A special speaker at a very enjoyable dinner, hosted by the Wycliffe Bible Translators, N.Z., and held at Ulverstone, was Manuel Arenas. Mr Arenas is originally a Totonac tribesman from Mexico. He was not only the first Totonac Christian at the age of 14 but is now a Christian leader with world-wide influence. Manuel was the first Totonac to ever learn to read and has progressed so much that he now not only speaks, reads and writes five languages, but also has a B.A., an M.A., and is operating a bilingual school for training Totonac young people to become preachers and teachers.
