Great Games

The Poverty Bay Women's Representative Hockey Team had some great games during the 1973 season. They were winners of the Floyd Shield for winners of section B at the National Tournament, and winners of the Lady Carroll Hockey Challenge Shield, which is for competition between Hawke's Bay, Wairoa and Poverty Bay. The team is, from left, in front, Carol Haapu, Dee Tureia (captain), Viv Bell, Viki Lewis and Lettecia Williams. At back are Carol Milner, Colleen Ingram, Gail Patty, Marg Scratchley, Joy Cumming, Beth Moscrip and Elizabeth Moeau.
