$1400 For I.H.C.

The Intellectually Handicapped Society administator John Burns created something of a great record when he became the first man to make a solo run from Gisborne, via Opotiki and the East Coast, back to Gisborne. The sponsored run of 309 miles, which was timed to take one week and actually took a few hours less, raised the sum of $1400 for the I.H.C.
