Cleaning Up

Pupils of the third forms of Gisborne Girls High School did their part, and set more than a good example during Conservation Week, by cleaning up litter and rubbish on Waikanae Beach. While the effort is admirable, it is also a pity that it is more than likely wasted — meaning of course that anyone who thoughtlessly tosses rubbish away can only have an untidy mind. Or worse still, be short of intelligence as, almost to a T, this type really thinks it's being very smart. However, the girls' efforts are not to be decried, and who knows, maybe you can take a horse to water!
