Lucky Dogs

You might almost call them Royal dogs. The Queen Mother has one. Queen Elizabeth owns two. And Prince Charles and Princess Anne have a puppy each. The breed: Corgi, a small Welsh cattle dog which is intelligent, tenacious, faithful and especially good with children.

Three months ago the first, Corgi puppies to be born in Gisborne saw the light of day at Tamarau, on the Wainui side of Gisborne, where they are being bred by Mr and Mrs C. J. Knopp.
