Spillane Tournament
This year the annual Spillane Rugby football tournament of the N.Z. Marist Brothers Old Boys Rugby Football Association was held at Gisborne, and voted a great success by all standards. Teams were present from Auckland, Hamilton, Hutt, Masterton, Napier, Palmerston North, Rotorua, Te Awamutu, Wanganui, and Wellington. The home team, Marist A, gave Auckland a close run for the cup, in an exciting game which ended 20-18 in Auckland's favour.
